Dr. Lori Ciccomascolo, Associate Vice President of Student Affairs and Student Success, University of Rhode Island
While college and university administrations are often siloed, students experience their campus life as a whole. Campus-wide partnerships are essential to creating efficient and effective student success pathways. In this session, we will provide a framework for a holistic approach to inclusive student success that incorporates academic affairs and student life.
Dr. Vernese Edghill-Walden, Senior Associate Vice President, Academic Diversity and Chief Diversity Officer, Northern Illinois University
True success for students requires that equity be an individual and institutional priority. Making it a priority requires generating and using transparent data to ensure that budgets are aligned with this core value. Dr. Edghill-Walden will describe how to make equity a priority, including how to use data to support your goals and how to be creative with your budget. She will also discuss how priorities have shifted to help address the inequities heightened by COVID-19.
Diversity experts will answer your questions on how they are adapting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and practices to support student success and promote social justice.
Budgets and enrollment have been hit hard across higher education. Our panelists will give us a close-up look at how financial decisions are made at various levels of administration within their institution, the cascading impact of changes, and how they are being implemented to support students.
